About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, making correct monetary change, taking and processing orders by telephone and in person, and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The employee must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers, understand and provide written instructions, and navigate delivery routes and varied delivery locations while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
