Position Summary The General Manager will serve as the daily operational leader across these concepts, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest, tenant, and client experience while driving financial performance, team development, and operational excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for a proven general manager who enjoys building strong teams, managing diverse service models, and creating hospitality experiences that elevate the workplace. We are seeking a leader with demonstrated success managing complex food and beverage operations, ideally with responsibility for $4 million or more in annual gross sales. The right candidate will bring strong financial acumen, a hands-on operational approach, and the ability to partner effectively with Porter leadership, property stakeholders, tenants, and corporate clients. To perform this job successfully, a General Manager must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in high-end hospitality, F&B operations, or event management, ideally with a background in banquets and large-scale events.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team with internal departments, external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance with ability to handle confidential issues with discretion.
  • Self-motivated and able to make decisions and exercise prudent judgement with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize workload and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A business-minded operator who understands how to balance service excellence with financial performance.
  • A creative problem-solver who can activate beautiful spaces in engaging ways.
  • A hands-on leader with strong operational expertise and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with ability to learn in house programs.

Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for profit and loss performance
  • Ownership of revenue growth, cost controls, and margin management
  • Support of Budget development and forecasting
  • Financial reporting
  • Labor management across front-of-house and back-of-house teams
  • Oversight of daily operations
  • Leadership of both public-facing and tenant-only service models
  • Scheduling and workforce planning for front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Oversight and execution of in-office catering programs
  • Direct management of event execution from planning through delivery
  • Oversight of community programming initiatives within the building
  • Primary relationship manager with property ownership
  • Primary operational liaison for Porter Hospitality
  • Direct relationship management with building tenants and end users
  • Ensure alignment between ownership objectives, tenant expectations, and operational performance
  • Recruit, develop, and manage management and hourly teams
  • Drive accountability, service standards, and operational consistency
  • Foster a culture aligned with company values and performance expectations
