About The Position

We are seeking a high-performing General Manager to lead and operate our bakery at a high level. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds strong teams, and holds people accountable. This role is responsible for the full day-to-day operation of the bakery. The owner is not involved in daily operations, this position requires someone who can take ownership, lead independently, and drive results.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of restaurant or retail management experience (GM position)
  • Proven ability to lead teams of 20+ employees
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of accountability and team development
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, and inventory
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities
  • Highly organized, reliable, and results-driven
  • The ability to work shifts at any time during normal operational hours

Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, train, and develop a team of 20+ employees
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
  • Coach performance, address issues directly, and build a strong culture
  • Develop shift leaders and future managers
  • Oversee all bakery operations including baking, frosting, crafting, and guest service
  • Ensure product quality, cleanliness, and brand standards are consistently met
  • Step into any role to cover shifts as needed and to support the business
  • Create and manage weekly schedules aligned with sales volume
  • Maintain labor targets while ensuring proper coverage
  • Create bake plans based on sales trends and upcoming demand
  • Manage inventory and place truck/supply orders
  • Minimize waste and maximize product availability
  • Manage reporting, daily numbers, and key performance metrics
  • Drive sales, efficiency, and profitability
  • Ensure operational consistency and compliance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries for events, fundraisers, and corporate orders
  • Communicate with ownership on performance and needs
  • Receive communication from the franchisor and implement new initiatives and programs
