About The Position

OneRelo Worldwide is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Reno operation. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing moving and relocation operations, developing high-performing teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business results. As General Manager, you will play a key role in operational excellence, employee development, safety compliance, customer experience, and financial performance while helping shape the future growth of our organization.

Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in operations management, logistics, transportation, moving, warehousing, distribution, or related industries.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, operational metrics, and business performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the household goods, moving, storage, transportation, or relocation industry.
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance requirements.
  • Experience overseeing multi-department operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily residential and commercial moving operations, including dispatch, scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of personnel, vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop drivers, movers, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive, safety-focused, and customer-centered workplace culture.
  • Oversee customer interactions from estimate through move completion.
  • Address escalated customer concerns and claims professionally and timely.
  • Promote service excellence and customer retention.
  • Manage operational budgets and monitor key financial metrics.
  • Review estimates, pricing, profitability, payroll, and operating expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, revenue, and margins.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements.
  • Lead safety initiatives, training programs, and risk-reduction efforts.
  • Maintain operational readiness of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Revenue and profitability, Customer satisfaction, Claims and damage ratios, On-time service performance, Labor utilization and productivity.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support business growth initiatives.
