About The Position

United Defense Tactical (UDT) in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a General Manager to partner closely with the GM/Owner, support daily operations, drive team performance, and deliver exceptional experiences to our members—civilians, military, and law enforcement alike. You’ll help oversee Firearms Instructors running threat simulators and live-fire sessions, Front Desk Associates providing elite customer service, and Sales Representatives closing memberships. • Proven ability to coach and motivate teams, hit performance goals, and maintain high standards under pressure.
  • Strong operational mindset: comfort with scheduling tools, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and basic data analysis to support decisions.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills to handle diverse customers and team dynamics.
  • High energy, calm demeanor, and genuine passion for firearms safety, self-defense, and empowerment—relevant certifications (NRA, USCCA, AZPOST, etc.) or willingness to obtain them preferred.
  • Deep alignment with UDT values and readiness to “operate like world-class in all you do.”

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Owner on full facility oversight: daily operations, scheduling, inventory control, compliance, and maintaining a safe, spotless, world-class environment.
  • Directly support and coach department leads—Firearms Instructors (threat-based simulators, force-on-force, live-fire ranges), Front Desk Associates (customer check-ins, reservations, billing), and Sales Representatives (membership demos, tours, CRM updates).
  • Help drive key performance metrics: revenue targets, membership growth, class fill rates, customer satisfaction scores, and retail/training upsell opportunities.
  • Step in to manage peak periods, resolve escalated customer issues, and ensure seamless execution of training sessions, facility tours, and sales presentations.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards and protocols across all simulator, force-on-force, and live-fire activities—keeping every participant secure and confident.
  • Assist with administrative systems: CRM management, class/seminar scheduling, performance reporting, and process improvements to keep operations efficient and scalable.
  • Represent UDT with positivity and professionalism—delivering white-glove service that turns first-time visitors into lifelong empowered defenders.
