About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for the overall sales, operations and performance of the HOTWORX Guilderland studio. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys connecting with people, developing a team and working toward measurable goals. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, dependable and comfortable leading from the front. You will be expected to generate leads, sell memberships, build relationships within the community and hold the team accountable for delivering excellent results.

Requirements

  • Previous management, sales, fitness, hospitality or customer-service experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a team and achieve sales goals
  • Strong communication, organization and follow-up skills
  • Confident speaking with prospective members in person and by phone
  • Comfortable with outbound sales, community networking and business development
  • Ability to coach employees, set expectations and hold the team accountable
  • Positive, professional and dependable
  • Comfortable using scheduling, membership-management and point-of-sale technology
  • Available to work a flexible 40-hour schedule, including some evenings and weekends
  • Passion for fitness, wellness and helping others achieve their goals

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily operations of the HOTWORX Guilderland studio
  • Recruit, train, schedule, motivate and manage studio staff
  • Create a positive, energetic and results-focused team culture
  • Meet and exceed monthly membership, revenue, retention and retail goals
  • Respond to leads quickly and consistently through calls, texts and emails
  • Conduct studio tours, explain the benefits of HOTWORX and close membership sales
  • Manage presale and grand-opening efforts for the new Guilderland location
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, schools, organizations and community partners
  • Organize outreach events, lead-generation opportunities and studio promotions
  • Build and manage referral, ambassador and member-engagement programs
  • Monitor member satisfaction and respond professionally to questions or concerns
  • Reduce cancellations by maintaining consistent member communication and engagement
  • Oversee billing follow-up, membership documentation and account accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and welcoming studio environment
  • Manage inventory, retail displays and product sales
  • Track key performance indicators and provide regular performance updates to ownership
  • Ensure all HOTWORX policies, procedures and brand standards are followed
