About The Position

This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and to verbally communicate with customers and co-workers. Essential functions include accurate and quick mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills. Motor coordination for precise hand and finger movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen are also necessary. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, fluctuating in-store temperatures, food odors, commercial dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces, with work surfaces generally between 36" and 48" high. Lifting of bulk product deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds is required, with cases often lifted from the floor and stacked up to 72" high. Carrying large cans and occasionally pizza sauce (up to 30 pounds) is necessary. Pushing trays on dollies and pulling trays is also part of the job. Team members may infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladders. Stooping/bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station, with limited knee flexion. Crouching/squatting is performed occasionally for stocking and cleaning. Reaching continuously (up, down, and forward) is required for various tasks, including operating oven controls, changing prices, and obtaining ingredients. Eye-hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands for tasks like shaping pizza dough, manipulating a pizza peel, and pinching to assemble pizza boxes. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Required tools and equipment include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role includes delivering product by car to customer doors, and delivering marketing materials. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Essential skills for delivery include navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses, and the ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and various delivery sites while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing. Driving is a key component, with multiple deliveries per shift. Walking is required to and from the store and the customer's location. Climbing five or more flights of stairs may be required during deliveries. Work conditions for delivery include exposure to varying weather conditions.
