This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning the equipment and facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and to verbally communicate with customers and co-workers. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and possessing good verbal, writing, and telephone skills. Motor coordination for rapid and accurate hand and finger movements is necessary, as is the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, commercial dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include standing for most tasks, walking short distances, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying items like large cans or pizza sauce, pushing trays on dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and the use of one or both hands, including frequent and/or forceful pinching for box assembly, and grasping various items. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role includes delivering product by car to customers, delivering marketing materials, and requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Essential skills for delivery include navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing, driving within a designated area, and walking to and from the delivery vehicle and the customer's location. Climbing may involve navigating five or more flights of stairs. Work conditions for delivery include exposure to varying weather conditions and require far vision and night vision for driving.
