This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, conducting inventory, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and to verbally communicate with customers and coworkers. Essential functions include accurate arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), making correct monetary change, verbal, writing, and telephone skills, motor coordination for precise movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces, with work surfaces generally between 36" and 48". Walking is typically in short distances. Sitting is required for paperwork. Lifting involves unloading deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds and stacking items up to 72" high. Carrying includes large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough. Pushing is required to move trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary. Stooping and bending are required at the assembly station and for other tasks. Crouching/squatting is performed occasionally. Reaching is continuous, up, down, and forward, including reaching above 72" for controls or signs. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and continuous use of hands, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping, and pinching for box assembly. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Tools and equipment may include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role involves delivering products by car to customer doors and distributing marketing materials. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses. Delivery personnel must navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings, while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages, driving within a designated area, and walking to and from the vehicle and customer locations. Climbing five or more flights of stairs may be required during deliveries. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
