About The Position

The Gulf on Okaloosa is a high-volume, full-service restaurant located in Fort Walton Beach, known for its chic and casual elegance, emphasis on local ingredients, and vibrant bar and music scene. The restaurant aims to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving as a bayfront hideaway for gatherings. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the restaurant's operation, including the kitchen, front of the house, and bar, ensuring high standards of service and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a restaurant in a high-volume concept, overseeing kitchen, front of the house, and bar operations.
• Ensure all financial and personnel/payroll administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
• Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
• Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Estimate food and beverage costs, and work with corporate staff for efficient provisioning and purchasing.
• Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
• Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries of fresh food and supplies.
• Order food, linens, gloves, and other supplies while staying within budget limitations.
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
