About The Position
We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead Tempo New York Times Square. This is an opportunity for a dynamic hospitality leader to drive operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement at one of New York City’s most prominent destinations. The General Manager will set the vision and culture for the property, develop and inspire a high-performing team, and deliver a consistent exceptional guest experience. This leader will partner closely with ownership and brand leadership to maximize the hotel’s performance and position Tempo as a leading lifestyle hotel in the New York market. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact, leading people, driving results, and shaping the future of Tempo New York Times Square.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ General Manager experience managing a property with minimum $30 million revenue and 400+ rooms.
- Experience managing owner relations and fostering positive partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow market share, contributing to success in competitive markets.
- Proven track record of ramping up hotels to stabilization, with strategic focus on sustained growth and operational excellence.
- Adept at identifying opportunities for business expansion and driving long-term profitability in the hospitality industry.
- Strong NYC union experience, given the labor environment and the importance of maintaining productive relationships while successfully operating in a unionized setting.
- Demonstrated ability to drive high team member engagement and build a strong culture, with a proven track record of developing talent, improving retention, and leading high-performing teams.
