About The Position

Villa Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and energetic Starbucks General Manager to lead our brand-new Starbucks location opening at JFK International Airport’s Terminal 6. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to build a team from the ground up, create a strong store culture, and deliver an exceptional Starbucks experience in a fast-paced airport environment.

Requirements

At least three years of restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality management experience
Proven experience recruiting, training, coaching, and retaining employees
Strong knowledge of labor management, inventory control, budgeting, and operational performance
Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills
The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a high-volume environment
The ability to meet all JFK Airport security and badging requirements
The ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant environment

Nice To Haves

Previous General Manager or comparable leadership experience strongly preferred
Starbucks management experience is highly preferred
Experience working in an airport, union, or similarly regulated environment is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of daily store operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, inventory, cash management, food safety, and brand compliance
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team of managers, shift leaders, and baristas
Create a welcoming environment while maintaining Starbucks’ standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality
Drive sales and profitability by managing labor, inventory, product waste, and other controllable expenses
Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable
Coach and develop employees while building a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace
Ensure compliance with Starbucks standards, Villa Restaurant Group policies, airport requirements, union requirements, and all applicable employment and food-safety regulations
Maintain accurate operational, payroll, scheduling, and financial records
Partner with airport and company leadership to support store-opening activities and ongoing business goals
Maintain the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
