The General Manager (GM) serves as the senior operational leader of a NYCSBUS transportation depot and is responsible for the overall management, performance, and success of daily transportation operations. The GM provides leadership to all operational functions within the depot, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for students across New York City. The General Manager is accountable for operational performance, route coverage, employee engagement, labor relations, safety compliance, customer service, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and the execution of company objectives. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of managing a large unionized workforce while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The GM is expected to promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, safety, compliance, and customer service while ensuring alignment with NYCSBUS strategic goals and contractual obligations.
