General Manager
About The Position
Better Collision Centers is seeking a leader to take their Bluffton shop to the next level. This role is for someone who runs a shop like they own it. You will lead an established team, drive production, and grow Bluffton into one of their top performing locations. Better Collision Centers is one of the fastest growing collision repair companies in the country, doubling revenue four years running. In this role, you will run the Bluffton shop, lead and develop the existing team, schedule production, coach managers, earn customer trust, and grow the business. You will have regional support when needed and autonomy when not.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to be present on the shop floor and work safely in a production environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed.
- Owner's mindset: act like the business is yours.
- Real collision experience: can schedule cars through a shop and coach your team to do the same.
- Leadership skills: manage a team, hold standards, and develop people.
- Autonomy with strong communication: operate independently, keep regional leadership informed, and never leave your team guessing.
- Business acumen: gross profit, parts margins, labor efficiency, and cycle time drive your decisions.
- Composure: pressure, conflict, and tough conversations don't rattle you.

Responsibilities
- Run the Bluffton shop.

- Manage a team, hold standards, and develop people.
- Coach your team on scheduling cars through a shop, cycle time, throughput, and load balancing.
- Be present on the shop floor and work safely in a production environment.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed.
