The General Manager provides administrative and supervisory support to specific program areas. Provides administrative and clinical/professional supervision to staff through the daily operation of the program. Coordinates all activities of the program, assists the Program Director in other assigned duties. The General Manager performs an integral role in carrying out the mission of The Counseling Center, Inc., by performing the following duties: 1. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program. Plans, organizes, and directs services. relating to the program. Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operation. 2. Provides direct line supervision of the program and staff. Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards, and conducting performance reviews of subordinates. Effectively recommend employment and termination of staff to the Program Director. 3. Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards. Trains staff in appropriate documentation and record keeping. Monitors the need for professional. development of staff. 4. Evaluates the program and recommends policies, procedures, and action to achieve program goals. Meets with the Program Director and administrative staff and advises on program evaluation and development. 5. Conducts public relations and networking activities for the program; conducts presentations to various agencies, government organizations, businesses, and civic groups, maintains effective relationships with other organizations, both public and private, and sees that the position of The Counseling Center, Inc., is enhanced according to the Center’s policies and objectives. Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive to the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. 6. Provides direct services as necessary. 7. Cover duties of any absent employee; schedules replacement or personally performs duties in order to ensure continuity of care. 8. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
