About The Position

The General Manager (“GM”) responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing quality concepts throughout the operational processes to make continuous improvements; supervising warehouse/vault operations and delivery service; ensuring proper staffing to meet customer’s demands and utilizes employees’ strengths to provide the best possible service for all customers; supervises operational personnel; and maintains equipment and facility to achieve optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and clean background check.
  • College degree.
  • Supervisory experience (3-5 years desired) with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in B2B service industry work environment.
  • Problem solving skills to solve people and process challenges.
  • Detail oriented work style to identify discrepancies.
  • Organizational skills to meet critical deadlines and schedule resources.
  • Willing to take responsibility for daily operations after hours or unscheduled workdays.
  • Willing and able to do physical work when necessary.
  • A commitment to be a key leader in a disaster recovery environment and embracing the unique requirements of servicing both internal and external customers in such an environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing quality concepts throughout the operational processes to make continuous improvements.
  • Supervising warehouse/vault operations and delivery service.
  • Ensuring proper staffing to meet customer’s demands and utilizes employees’ strengths to provide the best possible service for all customers.
  • Supervising operational personnel.
  • Maintaining equipment and facility to achieve optimal performance.
  • Interviewing and screening job candidates to select the best possible person for the job.
  • Completing the hiring process, training, evaluating, supervising and rewarding personnel to develop employees to their fullest potential.
  • Training personnel on security and fire safety procedures and enforcing attendance and other personnel policies.
  • Ensuring proper staffing during vacation, holiday, and absentee occurrences.
  • Communicating by use of meetings and written communications so all operational shifts are kept informed.
  • Participating fully in all facets of the Company’s quality program, including development and training.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and setting goals for critical operational areas (i.e., On-time deliveries, driver productivity, warehouse/vault productivity, warehouse/vault paperwork accuracy, driver response time) within the operation.
  • Communicating/charting measurable performance goals and results and working towards continuous improvements.
  • Monitoring driver efficiency and fuel usage and observing stops and idle times while route is in process via vehicle GPS system.
  • Managing vehicle maintenance, vehicle cleanliness, preventative maintenance scheduling, tracking and controlling required expenses.
  • Managing the maintenance of the warehouse/vault appearance according to cleanliness and orderliness standards in addition to warehouse/vault security, key fob, alarm code and door lock changes.
  • Controlling repairs and making replacement orders.
  • Managing fuel card use, and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Maintaining scanners and related equipment, and properly maintaining and controlling the use of currently available rack space and evaluating the need for additional rack.
  • Ensuring daily warehouse/vault operations warranting accuracy of what is stored and timeliness of deliveries.
  • Auditing daily paperwork, overseeing and reconciling daily warehouse/vault inventories of critical accounts.
  • Identifying, scheduling, supervising and conducting bay audits as prescribed by management.
  • Identifying, scheduling and supervising the performance of bay consolidations to achieve management goals.
  • Verifying and monitoring warehouse map and auditing for accuracy.
  • Providing courteous and attentive treatment of all customers’ needs by presenting a professional and positive image when interacting with customers in person and over phone.
  • Handling/coordinating special requests and resolving customer problems: disaster recovery drills, large customer problems.
  • Updating and distributing delivery schedules.
  • Ensuring all compliance requirements/tasks related to all operational functions of the facility.
