General Manager, Venture & Private Equity

Flex
•$275,000 - $325,000

About The Position

Flex is hiring a General Manager to build and run its venture and private equity business, with end-to-end ownership of the sector’s strategy, relationships, partnerships, product priorities, and P&L. The goal is to make Flex the primary financial institution for venture and private equity firms and their portfolio companies. The role builds on Flex’s platform, balance sheet, and teams, while product, credit, risk, and member experience teams execute and service alongside the General Manager. The position reports directly to the CEO. The role is modeled on sector coverage at an investment bank. The General Manager identifies high-value relationships and partnerships that can bring many owners to Flex, determines what products are needed to win them, and owns relationships with general partners, fund CFOs, operating partners, fund administrators, and fund-finance lenders. Funds are viewed as an efficient channel for bringing portfolio companies and their owners onto Flex. The position is available in San Francisco, Miami, New York, or fully remote. Compensation includes a base salary of $275,000–$325,000, adjusted for location and experience; variable compensation targeted at 100% of base and tied to sector revenue, with no ceiling; eligible equity compensation; and a guaranteed variable component during the first year while the book is built, agreed at offer. Flex also offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
