Monumental
Onsite

About The Position

Monumental is seeking an extremely entrepreneurial operator to be their first General Manager outside of Europe. This role involves establishing a new market by writing the playbook yourself, as Monumental is a vertically-integrated company that designs, builds, and deploys its own hardware and software. The ideal candidate will thrive in an operationally complex environment, handling sales, team building, and deploying cutting-edge technology. This position offers extraordinary autonomy and is well-suited for individuals with prior startup founding experience or those seeking an entrepreneurial role with significant impact. The company is unable to support relocation or sponsorship for this role, and applicants must be US-based and eligible to work, with willingness for frequent travel between the US and the Netherlands. Interviews will begin in September.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a chaotic, entrepreneurial, high-growth, unstructured environment (e.g., startup founder, GM, sales, operations, business development).
  • Proven grit and resilience.
  • Strong bias-to-action and getting-shit-done mentality with tenacity and speed.
  • Ability to context switch from strategic to practical work, with a willingness to perform any task.
  • Strong strategic business sense with proven experience in sales, pricing, negotiations, and account management.
  • Comfortable being responsible for the P&L of deployments and the entire US operation.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse individuals across the construction industry.
  • Experience hiring and managing a team, with an understanding of filtering for and instilling company culture.
  • High raw intellectual horsepower and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness for frequent travel within the US and between the US & The Netherlands.
  • Significant time commitment in The Netherlands for the first 3-6 months for onboarding and immersion.
  • Child-like excitement and optimism for building the future with robots.
