About The Position

Talkiatry is seeking a General Manager, Therapy and New Business Lines to own the strategy, launch, scale-up, and management of new business lines and related partnerships. This role will initially focus on creating a strategy for engaging patients across the acuity spectrum, potentially building new service lines from scratch or partnering with others. Over time, the role will evolve to lead Talkiatry's entire therapy line of business, with full P&L responsibility. This is a true GM role encompassing business model design, care model development, operating infrastructure, payer strategy, market entry, and financial performance. The successful candidate will leverage Talkiatry's existing platform resources, including technology, provider network, payer relationships, and patient volume, and will work cross-functionally to execute the strategy. This position is ideal for an individual with deep healthcare experience who thrives in '0 to 1' environments and desires ownership in a high-growth company.

Requirements

  • Builder DNA: Proven experience taking something from concept to operating reality (new business line, clinical program, product, market entry).
  • Systems Thinking & Strategic Range: Ability to see how clinical model, operations, payer dynamics, technology, and go-to-market connect. Ability to develop market entry strategies and design operational workflows.
  • Analytical Depth: Strong analytical skills, ability to think in frameworks, pressure-test assumptions, use data for decisions, and structure problems into actionable plans.
  • Structured Execution: Rigor in work execution, project scoping, sequencing dependencies, running a cadence, and holding individuals accountable.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience working across clinical, product, engineering, finance, and commercial teams, earning trust through preparation, follow-through, and respect.
  • 13+ years in healthcare with meaningful exposure to complex care delivery environments.
  • Low Ego, High Standards: Willingness to do the work, be close to details, act fast, and own misses.

  • Behavioral health, digital health, or value-based care experience.
  • Direct experience with IOP, SUD/MAT, group-based care, utilization review, or higher-acuity programs.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy, business model, and expansion roadmap for new lines of business.
  • Own the P&L from launch, including revenue targets, unit economics, pricing, margin, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to design evidence-based programs for strong patient outcomes and operational scalability, covering group structure, caseload management, patient matching, and step-up/step-down pathways.
  • Facilitate workflow, system, and reporting development for admissions, scheduling, utilization review, care coordination, quality measurement, and discharge planning.
  • Establish operating cadence and analytical infrastructure for data-driven decisions.
  • Lead launch planning in partnership with payor relations and partnerships teams, including contracting, reimbursement design, and referral pipeline development.
  • Drive alignment across Clinical, Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Hire and lead the core team.
  • Represent the business to Talkiatry's executive team and board.
