About The Position

This position is responsible for providing daily support to all team members in the areas of safety issues, production problems, quality issues, and problems. Responsibilities include: assure that team members have all the proper tools and equipment in proper working condition to perform their necessary job duties; conduct regular daily/weekly meetings with team members to communicate important information such as production changes, business news, order rates, safety programs and issues, overtime needs, etc., and listen to team member input on issues; on a daily basis move throughout the various work areas to offer support, gain input from supervisors, lead persons, and team members, and monitor production activities. Other duties include: complete and maintain necessary paperwork required and associated with the production operations; facilitate and promote the team concept by working with team members through coaching, leading, listening, coordinating, and supporting; communicate and coordinate on a daily basis with other supervisors to assure maximum product quality and productivity; meet with managers on a daily basis to discuss pertinent issues and to plan strategies for maximum productivity performance. Other responsibilities include: conduct and coordinate weekly physical inventories; conduct counseling sessions and issue disciplinary action as necessary; provide proper job and safety training for team members to insure maximum job performance; continuously strive for the most cost-effective methods of producing a high-quality product; finalize monthly spice inventories, quarterly freezer inventory, and weekly trailer inventory; control inventory of pallet use and tracking; DOT yearly maintenance on all company-owned equipment that travels over the road; maintain DOT requirements for the Hutchinson Complex.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 plus years warehouse experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferable.
  • Computer skills - Word, Excel, SAP, Tyson 1, PPS.
  • Must have good communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Supervise 1st and 2nd shift Shipping Receiving Department.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
