About The Position

The General Manager Retail is responsible for leading a sales center team to achieve sales goals, maintain profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role involves hiring, training, and developing sales consultants and administrative staff. The General Manager will oversee customer service coordination, manage various records and documentation, and ensure adherence to the company's sales system and ethical standards. Additionally, the position requires market awareness of financing, land availability, and competitor activities, as well as developing marketing campaigns for lead generation. The role demands a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Hire a team of sales consultants and administrative support staff to achieve results within the sales center.
  • Train and develop people for their current jobs and future career growth.
  • Coordinate services for customers with contractors, the factory, and lenders.
  • Oversee the record keeping and management of customer files, corporate files, lender agreements, and operational documentation.
  • Be accountable for sales volume, profitability of home sales, customer satisfaction, and referral generation.
  • Maintain the profitability of the sales center.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation and adherence to the company sales system.
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner consistent with the company's Code of Conduct and legal practices.
  • Maintain awareness of financing options and land availability in the market.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors in the local market and the distinct value Palm Harbor provides.
  • Continue to learn and improve skills in selling, leadership, and building customer relationships.
  • Develop effective marketing campaigns to drive online and in-person lead generation.
  • Travel required as needed.
