About The Position

The General Manager - Restaurant Excellence Team is responsible for assisting with management coverage at all restaurants, where there is a shortage of management or management transition. Also, coordinates, supervises, trains, and assists in all operational areas during new restaurant openings and at existing Mina Group restaurants. Applicants must be open to relocation. The Restaurant Excellence Team (REX) provides leadership candidates the opportunity to be fully trained in MINA Group standard operating procedures, systems, and concepts through assignments at multiple locations with the goal of taking a leadership position at a MINA Group restaurant in a full-time capacity. While individual development and management vacancies may affect timing, our expectation is that REX members will assume a full-time position at any one of our outlets within 12-18 months from their hire date.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a fine dining high volume restaurant, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Have the stamina to work in excess of 40 hours per week
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Gracious spirit of hospitality
  • Intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity
  • Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of food and service education
  • Ability to work clean, organized, and lead a team
  • Have a strong eye towards development both personal and for your team
  • Experience with various industry specific software; Restaurant 365, Micros, Toast, Open Table, Seven Rooms, Avero and others
  • Adept at team building across both back and front of house
  • Adaptability in both your leadership style and your business approach
  • Advanced knowledge of Food and Wine.
  • Desire to teach and mentor both your staff and interns

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality degree preferred
  • Level 1 Somm certification a big+

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with management coverage at all restaurants where there is a shortage of management or management transition.

  • Leading all front-of-house operations.
  • Providing insight and guidance to every member of the team.
  • Working closely with the assistant general manager and corporate operations teams to further the success of the restaurant.

  • Developing and implementing systems.
