About The Position

This role is responsible for the overall management and performance of an assigned production area within a manufacturing environment. The position oversees safety, production, quality, staffing, employee relations, compliance, and operational efficiency while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on production leader with experience managing high-volume manufacturing operations, driving safety and quality performance, leading supervisors, and ensuring regulatory compliance while meeting production targets.

Requirements

• Education beyond high school (technical training, vocational school, college coursework, or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of manufacturing/production management experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of product yields and quality standards.
• Knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

• Food processing or protein processing management experience.
• Experience leading supervisors and large production teams.
• Strong background in safety, quality, and operational performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the assigned production area.
• Ensure safe and efficient manufacturing of quality products.
• Supervise production supervisors and production teams.
• Monitor and improve production yields and line speeds.
• Monitor and improve product quality.
• Monitor and improve safety and ergonomics programs.
• Monitor and improve attendance and payroll records.
• Monitor and improve staffing levels, turnover, and absenteeism.
• Promote continuous improvement and Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives.
• Analyze operational issues and provide recommendations to the Plant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, federal, state, and company regulations.
• Manage employee performance, coaching, discipline, and development.
