About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on General Manager – Operations to lead and optimize our warehouse, transportation, and logistics operations for a growing perishable freight forwarding company in Miami.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing warehouse, trucking/transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or perishable cargo operations.
• Strong operational leadership and team-management skills.
• Hands-on management style with the ability to train, develop, and lead employees.
• Strong understanding of perishable cargo, cold chain, temperature-controlled logistics, and time-sensitive freight preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Must be based in or able to work in Miami, FL.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing, organizing, or launching a warehouse operation is a strong plus.
• Experience with KPIs, SOPs, WMS/TMS, dispatch, inventory, transportation management, and process improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve warehouse and transportation operations.
• Lead daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, service quality, and on-time performance.
• Develop and manage warehouse processes, SOPs, workflows, inventory flow, loading/unloading, and cold-chain procedures.
• Oversee trucking operations, carrier coordination, dispatch, routing, and delivery performance.
• Recruit, train, coach, and lead operations teams; this is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone willing to work directly with the team and operations.
• Establish KPIs, productivity standards, cost controls, and operational metrics.
• Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions quickly.
• Coordinate closely with customers, freight forwarding, warehouse, trucking, and management teams.
