About The Position

This position assists with the overall management of maintenance operations. The General Manager Maintenance will manage maintenance supervisors, oversee all designated shift operations while complying with USDA and OSHA requirements and company policies. This role involves determining manpower needs, making recommendations, and assisting with controlling expenses. The position requires preparing and maintaining records and reports to ensure they accurately reflect conditions, and working with department heads to meet production, quality, and yield goals. The role also includes inspecting and maintaining competence in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security. Key responsibilities also involve interviewing, hiring, and training team members, as well as planning, assigning, directing, and monitoring work; appraising work performance; rewarding, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; and addressing complaints and resolving issues. The role requires knowledge of HACCP, Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality, and Yields, as well as cost and efficiencies. Problem-solving skills are essential, with a strong math ability being a plus. Standard computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position will oversee scales, PLC, and IT items.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of related industry experience
1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility
Knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations
Standard computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
