GM, Loss Prevention Solutions

AACI GroupBoston, MA
Hybrid

About The Position

AACI Group is seeking a General Manager (GM) to lead and expand its Loss Prevention Solutions (LPS) portfolio. This role involves full P&L responsibility for a suite of existing and developing products aimed at making insurance more accessible and affordable in catastrophe-prone regions. The GM will have the autonomy to build, acquire, or partner to grow the portfolio, which includes products like FireFoil (wildfire structure wrap), Wildfire Action Plan (AI-powered preparedness app), Defensible Space Score (defensibility rating tool), and WiserBuild (building plan assessment). The position requires setting product vision and strategy, driving growth and revenue, and building and leading a team, including interns. The ideal candidate is a builder with operator instincts, comfortable with ambiguity, and possesses a passion for acquiring or inheriting a portfolio and scaling it. Knowledge of wildfire, climate, or insurance is a plus. The role is based in either the Greater Boston, MA, or Greater San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and reports directly to the CEO of AACI Group, Inc. This is an opportunity to join a well-funded, early-stage startup and contribute to creating resilience products that address the climate crisis.

Requirements

  • A builder with operator instincts: You've run something, launched something, or been close enough to the action that you know what it takes.
  • Search fund and/or founder energy: You're drawn to acquiring or inheriting a portfolio and turning it into something bigger.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Not everything is defined yet, and that excites you.
  • Wildfire, climate, or insurance knowledge is a bonus: Intellectual curiosity about the space is required.
  • Experience managing interns or early-career talent and getting real output from them.
  • Willing to pursue the NFPA CWMS certification within the first 90 days.
  • The blog post The “I”s of an Owner resonates with you and you professionally exhibit intensity, intuition, initiative and imagination.

Responsibilities

  • Own Product + Growth: Set vision and strategy for each LPS product, prioritize roadmaps and UX improvements, drive engagement and revenue across the portfolio, and engage with other AACI subsidiaries for cross-selling and co-marketing.
  • Build and Lead the Team: Recruit and manage MBA and undergraduate interns to own growth and/or UX for each brand, operate a venture-studio-style model, and act as hiring manager and mentor for intern-level product leads across LPS brands.
  • Expand the Portfolio: Develop new LPS concepts from scratch, identify acquisition opportunities and execute on acquiring them, and evaluate and integrate products that fit the AACI loss prevention thesis.

Benefits

  • Well-funded, early-stage startup environment
  • Autonomy to build, acquire, or partner
  • Opportunity to address climate crisis and help families remain in their homes
  • Equal Opportunity Employer commitment
  • Commitment to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical or mental disabilities
