About The Position

The General Manager in Training is responsible for the overall supervision and operation of the assigned Auntie Anne’s store at Northwoods Mall. This role emphasizes maintaining Auntie Anne’s Three-Fold Philosophy and achieving maximum profitability. The position involves managing day-to-day operations, including food preparation, baking, and serving. A key aspect is leading the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff, as well as handling disciplinary actions. The role also requires reviewing sales and labor reports, building schedules, setting and tracking goals with the Regional Manager, enforcing cash handling policies, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and positive work environment. Additionally, the General Manager in Training will conduct staff meetings, foster strong relationships with mall management, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Must be ServSafe Certified
• Management experience in a retail, restaurant, or other fast-paced environment
• A valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and evenings

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel store.
• Prep, bake, and serve pretzels alongside other menu products.
• Take the lead in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring adequate staff to meet operational needs.
• Assist, guide, and evaluate employees on the performance of their duties.
• Sign off on all training assessments and lead necessary disciplinary actions or terminations.
• Review weekly sales and labor reports to project data and build compliant weekly schedules.
• Partner with the Regional Manager to set and track daily sales and labor goals.
• Enforce cash handling and management policies across all store personnel.
• Manage store inventory and order resources as needed.
• Maintain clean equipment and foster a positive, motivated team environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings for both the management team and the entire crew.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Mall Managers and Marketing Specialists.
• Ensure all personnel strictly comply with all Chestnut Land Company policies and the "Promise Code of Conduct."
