About The Position

This role oversees all warehouse functions including operations, transportation, personnel, and customer service, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The General Manager III will manage budgets, direct departmental activities, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local safety regulations. This position also involves representing the company to warehouse customers and supporting continuous improvement and disaster prevention plans.

Requirements

College degree in business, logistics, or management plus a minimum of 5 years of experience required in warehousing or logistics management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
Skilled in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing.
Ability to analyze and resolve operational issues related to warehouse management, logistics, and personnel.

Nice To Haves

Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse functions and individuals toward profitability objectives.
Familiarity with WMS and RF systems.
Experience with Unions and CBA agreements.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the annual facility budget and ensure adherence across all warehouse departments.
Direct, assign, and monitor work and performance objectives for warehouse staff.
Oversee all warehouse activities, costs, operations, and forecasts, and track progress toward goals.
Ensure a safe work environment by identifying safety concerns and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Represent the company to warehouse customers, maintain positive relationships, and secure additional business.
Develop and maintain plans for disaster prevention and recovery, and support continuous improvement processes.
