About The Position

QuinStreet is seeking a seasoned General Manager, Home Insurance to own and scale our Homeowners Insurance business end-to-end. This is a true GM role with full P&L responsibility, spanning demand generation, carrier and agency partnerships, product and consumer experience, data intelligence, and call-center funnel performance. You will be accountable for driving profitable, scalable growth by optimizing the entire consumer journey — from media acquisition and eligibility through quote and plan comparison, agent transfer, enrollment, and post-bind outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of growth, product, partnerships, and operations, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution. Success in this role means building a high-conversion, algorithm-driven Home insurance marketplace that delivers predictable performance, strong unit economics, and long-term value for consumers and partners.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in general management, P&L ownership, marketplace leadership, or senior growth roles
  • Deep experience in insurance, financial services, or performance-based marketplaces (Home insurance strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of scaling a business with full ownership of revenue, margin, and operating metrics
  • Strong understanding of digital acquisition, performance marketing, lead generation, and funnel optimization
  • Experience working closely with carriers, agencies, or regulated partners
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with comfort operating in complex, multi-variable environments
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • P&L Ownership & Growth Strategy: Own full P&L responsibility for QuinStreet’s Home Insurance business, including revenue, margin, LTV, CAC, and profitability targets. Define and execute the business strategy to scale revenue while improving unit economics, conversion, and margin. Set goals, operating plans, and forecasts; monitor performance and course-correct quickly using data-driven insights.
  • Marketplace & Consumer Journey Optimization: Optimize the end-to-end consumer funnel , including media acquisition, eligibility, quoting, comparison, agent transfer, enrollment, and post-bind performance. Improve conversion rates, retention, LTV, and consumer experience through experimentation, funnel optimization, and UX enhancements. Drive automation and intelligence across routing, matching, pricing logic, and lead distribution to maximize efficiency and outcomes.
  • Carrier & Agency Partnerships: Expand and deepen carrier and agency partnerships , ensuring strong coverage, competitive offerings, and diversified demand. Collaborate closely with advertisers to align on performance goals, lead quality, compliance, and long-term growth opportunities. Negotiate commercial terms and partnership structures that support scalability and profitability.
  • Media, Data & Performance Intelligence: Scale and diversify internal and external media supply , balancing performance, quality, and risk. Leverage data science, analytics, and experimentation to improve acquisition efficiency, lead quality, and downstream outcomes. Champion an algorithm-driven marketplace model that continuously learns and optimizes.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and influence cross-functional teams across product, engineering, analytics, media, compliance, sales, and call-center operations . Translate business strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans across teams. Ensure compliance, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence at scale.
