General Manager: Food Truck Operations

About The Position

Manage all daily food truck operations, including food production, service execution, and guest experience. Plan and coordinate schedules, routes, events, festivals, and catering opportunities. Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members. Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and speed of service standards are maintained. Maintain accountability for food costs, labor costs, fuel expenses, and overall profitability. Manage inventory levels, purchasing, receiving, and product rotation. Ensure truck cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and operational readiness at all times. Monitor vehicle maintenance programs and coordinate required service and repairs. Oversee setup, breakdown, and event execution procedures. Ensure compliance with local health department standards, licensing requirements, fire safety regulations, and food safety programs. Build relationships with event organizers, venues, and community partners. Track and analyze sales performance and operational metrics. Handle guest concerns and implement effective service recovery practices. Manage cash handling, POS systems, deposits, and operational reporting. Assist with social media, local marketing efforts, and promotional activities. Perform hands-on operational duties as needed during peak business periods. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and guests.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas or instructions by the spoken word.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
