About The Position

United Defense Tactical (UDT) is opening in San Antonio, TX and is seeking a hands-on, high-accountability General Manager to lead daily operations and drive execution, culture, and performance. This is a true operator role responsible for running day-to-day operations, leading the team, and ensuring a high-standard, safety-first training and customer experience. The GM will work closely with ownership on marketing strategy, membership growth, and strategic business performance. You’ll oversee Tactical Instructors, Front Desk staff, and Sales teams delivering a high-energy, world-class training environment for civilians, military, and law enforcement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of leadership or management experience, ideally in operations, fitness, hospitality, retail, training, or member-based services
  • Strong ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and drive performance
  • Experience with scheduling systems, CRM platforms, and operational reporting
  • High accountability with the ability to manage multiple departments
  • Strong communication and leadership presence
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
  • Passion for safety, training, and self-defense

Nice To Haves

  • Firearms/tactical background a plus
  • Relevant certifications such as NRA or USCCA or willingness to obtain them preferred
  • Degree in business, finance or similar highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations: staffing, scheduling, customer experience, inventory, and facility readiness
  • Directly support and coach department leads (Instructors, Front Desk, Sales)
  • Drive performance across revenue, memberships, class utilization, retention, and customer satisfaction
  • Run the floor during peak hours to ensure seamless execution of training, tours, and sales
  • Manage CRM, scheduling systems, reporting, and operational workflows
  • Maintain strict safety standards across all training environments
  • Resolve customer and operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Partner with ownership on strategy while independently executing daily operations
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, energy, and service
  • Represent UDT with positivity and professionalism
