About The Position

As a top Las Vegas dispensary, Planet 13 and Medizin strives to provide the best quality recreational cannabis, cannabis extracts, and infused products available at competitive prices and with compassion that can only come from those who are knowledgeable in the field. Summary The General Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the store in accordance with the State of Nevada and the Executive Team. The General Manager at Medizin will provide support to all employees and Floor Shift Managers to include scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news, and product information. This position is also responsible for driving bottom-line revenue through execution of sales plans, sales promotions and providing an exceptional customer service experience within the store.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
NV State Agent Card Required.
OSHA 30 Required (company paid) to be completed within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees specific duties.
Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the store.
Provide necessary weekly sales updates, as requested by VP of Sales & Marketing and the VP of Retail.
Comply with retail cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities per policy.
Maintain a culture of integrity, high quality customer service and communication.
Ensure compliance with all state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Assist State and Local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
Complete facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including: phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies.
Define and implement policies and performance standards.
Coordinates with VP of Sales and Marketing on sales promotion activities and prepares or directs workers preparing merchandise displays.
Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures , and performance standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
