About The Position

The General Manager, Data Management Solutions owns the strategic direction, organizational leadership, and overall performance of Signant Health's Global Data Management function, encompassing RTSM, eCOA, sensors, and EDC operations. This leader holds full profit-and-loss (P&L), budget, and resource allocation accountability for the Data Management organization — including direct P&L ownership of the EDC business line — and sets the enterprise vision and multi-year roadmap for data management, ensuring Signant Health stays ahead of evolving CRO/Pharma industry demands, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. The General Manager also serves as Signant Health's foremost subject matter expert on clinical data management, representing the organization's capabilities to clients, prospects, and at industry conferences and forums, and works cross-functionally with Technical Delivery, Product/R&D, Commercial, and Project Management leadership to ensure data management strategy and service delivery support business growth and client commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences) or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in clinical data management within the CRO/Pharma or clinical trials industry, including 10+ years of senior people management experience leading multi-team or multi-site organizations.
  • Deep understanding of CRO/Pharma industry dynamics, client expectations, and the global regulatory environment (GCP, 21 CFR Part 11) governing clinical data management, including RTSM, eCOA, and Clinical Data, with proven experience successfully hosting regulatory inspections and audits (e.g., FDA, EMA).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Clinical Data Management Systems (CDMS) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms and comprehensive understanding of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM, CDASH).
  • Strong financial acumen, with proven experience owning full P&L (including for a product or business line such as EDC) or multi-million dollar budgets and resource planning for a global organization.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to represent Data Management capabilities to clients, prospects, industry forums, and senior leadership, and to support business development and sales pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Own full profit-and-loss, budget, and resource allocation accountability for the Data Management function — including direct P&L ownership of the EDC business line — ensuring investments support strategic initiatives, scalability, and profitable growth across RTSM, eCOA, sensors, and EDC.
  • Own the enterprise strategy and multi-year roadmap for Global Data Management, keeping pace with emerging technology and the evolving CRO/Pharma regulatory landscape.
  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and development to build a high-performing, cross-functional Data Management organization, including hiring, retention, and succession planning for senior leaders.
  • Set enterprise standards for data quality, GCP/regulatory compliance, and CDISC standards (e.g., SDTM, ADaM, CDASH) across CDMS/EDC platforms; lead the organization's audit and regulatory inspection readiness, serving as executive point of contact during FDA, EMA, and client audits.
  • Serve as Signant Health's foremost subject matter expert on clinical data management, representing the organization's capabilities to clients, prospects, and industry forums, and partnering with Commercial on strategic pursuits and client presentations.
  • Partner closely with Technical Delivery, Product/R&D, Commercial, and Project Management leadership to ensure data management capabilities and service levels support client commitments and business growth.
  • Own governance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across the Data Management organization, presenting performance results and strategy updates to executive leadership; set risk management and business continuity strategy supporting global clinical trial delivery.
