About The Position

The General Manager-Banquet Facility is responsible for the overall efficient operation of the banquet facility, including staff supervision, budget management, marketing, and building maintenance. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure high-quality food and beverage service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Five years supervisory experience in quality food and beverage production
  • Experience in selling/marketing events mandatory
  • Experience in multi-tasking and delegation of duties
  • Basic computer skills
  • Handle and maintain confidential information
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and focus on providing quality service
  • Positive attitude, good sense of humor, energetic, and capable role model for peers
  • Ability to evaluate situations, and make decisions that are in accordance with company policy and meet the stated business objectives
  • Demonstrated integrity on a personal as well as professional level
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people and maintain excellent customer relations
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to independently follow-through on tasks through to completion, and meet all deadlines as assigned
  • Able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, bend and visually inspect property throughout the day
  • Physical strength and ability to lift, carry and put away supplies, materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stamina sufficient to endure continuous physical effort including frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and grasping.
  • Able to endure working up to 12 hour shifts to perform duties as assigned
  • Ability to tolerate and work with chemicals used at the property for maintenance of building
  • Adherence to a drug-free and smoke-free agreement
  • Subject to an initial and annual criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of all Banquet and Kitchen Staff
  • Maintain efficient staffing, employee development and training, manage employee performance and enforce all company policies.
  • Keeps facility running as efficiently as possible
  • Maintains budgets and creates annual budget
  • Maintains all costs
  • Maintains all building issues
  • Creates effective advertising/marketing campaigns
  • Other job related duties as assigned
