Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift.

Nice To Haves

  • CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
  • 1 year of maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learns and demonstrates the ability to maintain property assets, working with the Chief Engineer to understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections, and capital expenditures. Understands the financial impact of asset maintenance.
  • Assists and responds to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service. Possesses knowledge of hotel property, guest room repairs, and common area maintenance to assist guests. Sets a strong example for other associates through exceptional guest service.
  • Assesses and evaluates property assets through preventative maintenance. Works with appropriate managers to recommend maintenance service solutions.
  • Learns, understands, and executes all engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the Chief Engineer.
  • Works as a team player to meet guest needs and actively contributes to other departments when necessary. Completes all assigned duties, even those outside the normal scope of the engineering department.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations. Uses personal protective equipment when needed. Follows all company procedures for guest/associate incidents and is knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
  • Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer. Adheres to company attendance policy, general work rules, and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
