About The Position

The General Maintenance position consists of a number of different job tasks, including but not limited to, lubricating of machines, carrier builder/cleaning/changing, degreaser operation, and housekeeping. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift license required for some job tasks.
• Lock out certification.
• Attention to details.
• A good understanding of the working of parts and machines for the assigned area.
• Ability to read and interpret labels that explain directions for usage and safety.
• Teamwork, face-to-face communication, good attendance.
• Ability to stand, squat, and bend at the waist for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work with hands above head and to use them in a repetitive motion for a noticeable period of time.
• Ability to lift between 20-50 lbs. on occasion.

Nice To Haves

• Some general mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate machines, including braiders, winders, and other applicable equipment (e.g., line shafts, worm gears).
• Perform carrier builder/cleaning/changing tasks, including identifying, inspecting, disassembling, rebuilding, removing, and replacing carriers.
• Operate degreaser according to procedure and wash spools.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and machines, including vacuuming/blowing off machines and performing changeovers.
• Assist with air wash maintenance, such as cleaning, replacing filters, and pressure spraying tanks and risers.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning break rooms, restrooms, and grounds, and managing trash collection and recycling.
• Sweep and mop floors, and replace floor dry as needed.
