General Maintenance - Sage Lodge
About The Position
The General Maintenance role at Sage Lodge is responsible for maintaining the building's physical appearance and the working order of the hotel, including the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as general upkeep. This position ensures the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features in accordance with established procedures and budgets. The role also involves maintaining clean and orderly maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas, proper storage of tools and equipment, and responsible collection and transport of property waste. The General Maintenance team member is expected to complete delegated work orders professionally and in a timely manner, respond to after-hours calls as necessary, and immediately report and address unsafe conditions. Other tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete all types of work orders generated for engineering.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must have a general understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to effectively perform painting, woodworking, and general carpentry.
- Ability to perform maintenance and general repair.
- Must have full availability and work shifts from noon to 8pm.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.
Nice To Haves
- Journeymen level experience or equivalent in a trade or 2+ years in building maintenance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the building’s physical appearance and working order of the hotel.
- Assist with the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and general upkeep.
- Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features.
- Maintain all maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Store all tools, equipment, and spare parts in their proper locations.
- Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
- Responsible for safe collection and transport of all property waste to the designated waste station offsite.
- Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to after-hour calls as necessary.
- Report and address unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
