The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for inspecting and identifying areas, equipment, or machines in need of repair. This role involves troubleshooting issues, planning repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals, and performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors and building fixtures. The position also includes performing routine maintenance on building systems, cleaning and assisting with facility upkeep, ensuring prompt assistance to inmates in case of injury or illness, and ordering necessary supplies and materials. Other related duties may be assigned.
