Tessera is seeking an experienced and hardworking General Maintenance Worker II with a positive attitude to support the HVAC Shop. Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license is with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R and electrical work preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a variety of preventative maintenance tasks, including HVAC filter changes, belt changes and alignment, greasing shaft and motor bearings, condenser and evaporator coil cleaning, thermostat operation and taking readings on HVAC equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring a clean workspace and HVAC equipment is in better condition than before starting.
  • Responsible for minor repairs, air handlers, heat pumps, package units, chilled and heating coils and ductless mini-splits.
  • Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
  • Make semi-difficult diagnoses and/or suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
  • Communicate with their Lead/Foreman to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
  • Follows all Safety Procedures and Policies.
  • Must be familiar with lock out/tag out and fall protection
  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned.
