About The Position

Join our dynamic operations and maintenance team as a General Maintenance Technician at a commercial campus in Baltimore, MD. This is a 6-month temp-to-hire position on the 1st shift (6:30am – 3pm) offering competitive pay and a path to a permanent role. You’ll perform vital maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work—keeping our facilities running smoothly while building your expertise in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum three years of maintenance experience in industrial HVAC, mechanical repair, or automotive repair (or equivalent education/experience)
• Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and computers (Microsoft suite)
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet using lifts
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
• Physically able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform tasks requiring color differentiation
• Professional, customer-focused communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or trade certification in Industrial Mechanical, HVAC, or related field
• Experience with 480V 3-phase electrical systems
• Proficiency with large commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems, vacuum systems, RO/DI water systems, and basic plumbing
• Familiarity with CMMS environments
• Skilled with refrigeration and electrical measuring equipment

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building equipment, fixtures, and systems
• Perform emergency, preventive, and planned maintenance using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Operate, inspect, and repair mechanical equipment including HVAC, pumps, hydraulic systems, compressed air, RO/DI water systems
• Complete general maintenance tasks in carpentry, painting, and sheet metal as needed
• Ensure safety by following job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and using PPE
• Support licensed trades, project managers, and co-workers on renovation and installation projects
• Analyze equipment failures and recommend process or equipment improvements
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of spare parts
• Flexibly adapt to changing schedules and business priorities
