About The Position

ABM is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across campus facilities, including academic buildings, residence halls, and administrative offices. The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment through light mechanical repairs, general upkeep, and routine maintenance. It offers varied daily work for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly.

Requirements

• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a facilities or office maintenance environment.
• Previous custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs and clear drains.
• Replace ceiling tiles, lamps, air filters, and fire extinguishers.
• Conduct touch-up painting in common areas and mechanical rooms.
• Maintain and repair door hardware, blinds, and furniture.
• Assist with general labor tasks, including organizing materials and cleaning equipment.
• Report safety hazards and larger maintenance issues to the appropriate team.
• Follow ABM and client safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Support seasonal and event-related maintenance needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
