About The Position

The Lodge at Columbia Point is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to maintain the building's physical appearance and the functionality of its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role involves ensuring the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features. The technician will also be responsible for keeping storerooms and work areas organized, properly caring for tools and equipment, and completing delegated work orders efficiently. Responding to after-hours calls and immediately addressing unsafe conditions are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete all types of work orders generated for engineering.
  • Must have a general understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to effectively perform painting, woodworking, and general carpentry.
  • Ability to perform maintenance and general repair.
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeymen level experience or equivalent in a trade or 2+ years in building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the building’s physical appearance and working order of the club.
  • Assist with the functionality and general upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and repair of all engineering department tools, equipment, and safety features in accordance with established procedures and budgets.
  • Keep all maintenance and engineering storerooms and work areas clean and orderly, storing all tools, equipment, and spare parts in their proper locations.
  • Be responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
  • Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to after-hour calls as necessary.
  • Report and address unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
