Carillon Senior Living is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Technician to join their Team. This role is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant, including preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment, and plumbing repairs, all under supervisor direction.

Requirements

  • Have a High School diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of one year experience building construction and/or maintenance.
  • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be skilled in the use of all appropriate machinery, tools, and construction supplies.
  • Must have an understanding of general construction and engineering practices.
  • Responsible for abiding by all Carillon policies and procedures to include the Code of Ethics and the principles and standards set forth for conducting the business and affairs of Carillon, Inc.
  • The General Maintenance employee will be responsible for abiding by all Carillon policies and procedures relating to HIPAA.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
  • Completes assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy.
  • Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
  • Installs locks, creates keys, re-key cylinders, and tracks outstanding keys for entire campus.
  • Troubleshoot and install PERS call system.
  • Installs phone, cable, and network lines.
  • Fixes plumbing and lighting fixtures.
  • Tests, fixes, install, and replace appliances.
  • Troubleshoots heating and cooling systems.
  • Hangs pictures, moves furniture, and assists residents with daily non-health care needs.
  • Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
