This position independently performs work as outlined in the Maintenance Mechanic classification and provides support to any of the maintenance trades as required. Provides support for the general upkeep of the facilities as required. Must hold and maintain a Millwright Red Seal Provincial certification or equivalent designation by a recognized trades organization.

Requirements

Industrial Mechanics (Millwright) Red Seal Certified Interprovincial Standard Certificate is required
Three (3) years of experience trouble shooting, repairing, leveling and aligning large numerically controlled machines
Knowledge of and experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic and vacuum systems, CNC machines, vacuum furnaces, lathes, presses and shears
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to work under tight time constraints
Ability to work within specified safety requirements

Responsibilities

Independently performs work as outlined in the Maintenance Mechanic classification
Provides support to any of the maintenance trades as required
Provides support for the general upkeep of the facilities as required
Troubleshooting, repairing, leveling and aligning large numerically controlled machines
