General Maintenance Technician

About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team of property management and maintenance professionals at our Flowergate apartment community on Kent Ave. in Metairie. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our apartment community. The Maintenance Technician role requires an understanding of electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various appliances, as well as preparing apartments for new resident move ins.

Requirements

Experience as a Maintenance Technician or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication and teamwork.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
Possess tools and reliable transportation (we can assist you will tools purchase if necessary).
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs for residents related to electrical, plumbing and appliances.
Make-ready vacant apartments for new resident move-ins.
Troubleshoot and repair issues effectively.
Ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and addressing concerns.
