CACI is looking for a journeyman-level facility General Maintenance Technician to support their mission-critical program at Fort Eisenhower, GA. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing various general and specialized trade skills, including electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, and drywall installation or repair of various ceiling systems. Duties may also include maintenance of the structure surrounding a facility such as fencing and gates. The role involves infrastructure sustainment activities like changing bulbs and painting, repairing and changing locks, and developing supply estimates for various projects. The technician will gather technical data, evaluate safety procedures, and manage material and fiscal requirements for assigned projects. They may also assist project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, and completing local projects. A working knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to the construction work environment, such as OSHA, facility/system equipment security, ECAP, and NEC, is required. The role involves applying electrical, mechanical, and structural knowledge, interpreting blueprints, and performing maintenance on surrounding structures like fencing and gates. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, walking stairs, working on elevated surfaces, and potentially working outdoors in various weather conditions.
