About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician I assists in a variety of skills encompassing most construction trades. Requires the ability to deal tactfully, effectively, and courteously with co-workers, management, and customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a maintenance role.
Proficiency with hand tools and practical knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and minor electrical repairs.
Able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
MUST be ABLE TO PASS a drug Screen and Background check!

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating, repairing, and performing minor plumbing (toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets), electrical (switches, receptacles, lighting, breakers, ballasts), and HVAC systems (filters, belts, PM equipment).
Perform basic drywall, door, window, wall, prep, and painting repairs across facility buildings.
Receive and complete work orders while accurately recording materials and labor used.
Support the PM program by providing resources and knowledge to improve equipment reliability.
Follow lockout/tagout protocols, use proper PPE, identify potential hazards, and safely operate equipment and ladders.
Maintain company vehicles (refueling, inspections) and assist/escort outside contractors, vendors, or inspectors when needed.
Share on-call duty for emergency maintenance and be available to work evenings/weekends as assigned.
