About The Position
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee's Camp Widjiwagan is Now Hiring for a General Maintenance Tech. Our Hiring Team is excited to welcome a hands-on, service-minded General Maintenance Tech to help keep our YMCA running safely, smoothly, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety —no two days look the same —and takes pride in creating clean, functional, and member-friendly spaces, all while living out #values.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- 1 –3 years of experience in maintenance, cleaning, or a related field
- Comfort using hand and power tools and cleaning chemicals (safely!)
- A team-player attitude with great communication and a heart for service
- New Hire Orientation training (Before start of 1st shift)
- CPR Pro/AED/FA (Within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, staff, and guests
- Complete preventive maintenance and work orders (including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and furniture assembly)
- Support room setups and event transitions
- Walk the building, grounds, and parking lot to spot and address safety concerns
- Communicate supply needs and work closely with your supervisor and team
- Build positive relationships with members and fellow staff
