About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, functional, and efficient environment by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance activities throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Requirements

Experience performing general building maintenance and equipment repairs.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and painting repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine effective solutions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with facilities staff, contractors, and other departments.
Commitment to providing exceptional service while maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain a variety of building systems, equipment, and interior finishes.
Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hand and power tools, including ordering replacement parts when needed.
Program and maintain facility clocks as required.
Assist specialty mechanics with maintenance and repair projects.
Install and repair hospital signage, as applicable to the assigned location.
Complete and document work orders using a computerized work order management system (CMMS).
Participate in facility renovation, construction, and improvement projects, including coordinating with outside contractors when appropriate.
Maintain records and prepare equipment for required inspections and regulatory compliance.
Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, and carpentry work.
Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
