About The Position

This role is responsible for the installation and repair of electrical facilities and apparatus associated with coal mining, distribution systems, and buildings. The work involves installation, maintenance, and repair of a-c and d-c circuits, appliances, lighting and heating facilities, control equipment, generators, motors, switchboards, switchgear transformers, metering, and relay circuits. The position may also involve training apprentices and providing work direction to helpers, as well as performing other related duties within the mining operation.

Requirements

• Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
• Must be physically fit.
• Must have the ability to cooperate and work effectively with other employees.
• Must possess a valid Class 3A Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Installation and repair of electrical facilities and apparatus associated with coal mining, distribution systems, and buildings.
• Installation and/or maintenance and/or repair of a-c and d-c circuits, appliances, lighting and heating facilities, control equipment, generators, motors, switchboards, switchgear transformers, metering, and relay circuits.
• Preparation of forms and reports as required.
• Providing training to apprentices and work direction to an assigned helper.
• Performing other related and assigned duties associated with the overall mining operation.
